E series flash columns are manufactured with the same cartridges as the standard series (and therefore have all the same great characteristics) but are packed with economical, high-quality silica gel (40-63 µm, 60 Å) or 50-75 µm alumina. Especially, the alumina flash columns are useful when the samples are sensitive and prone to degradation on silica gel. This series represents money savings for everyday purification.
